Nothing Much
Jun. 13th, 2007 03:49 pmIt's being a slow, quiet summer so far. There's not quite enough going on at work to keep me busy. Fortunately, I have an endless project to fill in slow times. My boss wants me to get our inventory forms into some sort of sane order. Since my friend Don who does this for a different dining hall has been updating his forms constantly for about three years, I think it's safe to say it should occupy for a while.
Eric has started his new job working security for the local Target store. Well, it's steady, nearby, and within his abilities. Something to fill the time and pay his bills. Hopefully, he'll get back into school sometime. I can't see him becoming a rent-a-cop professionally. A regular cop I could see, but I don't think he's headed in that direction.
Amanda got great grades this past semester and is really psyched. She could graduate next May, but is considering giong a little longer to get a minor.
And Alexander... had to build a ballista... for trigonometry. If I ever see my old math teacher, I'm going to have a few words for him about modern education.
I haven't been getting out to see my dad lately. It's too easy to come up with reasons why I can't go, between a tight budget, my driving problems and things to deal with at home. Gotta kick myself. I know I'll regret it if he passes away before I come to terms with his condition, and I can't do that by avoiding visiting him.
