First Anniversary

prophet_marcusIt was one year ago today that Trish and I went to see the judge and finalized our divorce. It really was just a legal formality since she had moved out almost two years before that. I can't say I've done much with my "freedom". It's hard to break the asocial habits of almost twenty years. Too easy to come up with excuses for why I can't go out and meet new people and make new friends. Hell, that doesn't even have much to do with being married or divorced - Trish often encouraged me to get out more. It's just too easy to say "I can't afford it," and stay home.
Heck, even in online communities I tend to hang back rather than interact. ALmost two years on LiveJournal and there's less than two dozen people in my friends list and most of them I knew before I came here.
I don't know, I'm just rambling. But now I have to run out to see what's going on with my automatic mortgage payment (driving in Portsmouth. Ugh!) Then over to UNH to make sure Amanda has health insurance for the rest of the year. Then back home for whatever it is I do on my vacation - mostly nothing.
UPDATE: So I went to the bank - and they aren't sure why my automatic payments stopped. I still need ot get in touch with Habitat For Humanity and make new arrangements. Only thing is, when I dug out my records, it turns out I'm overpaying by a lot more than I thought I was. I really need to talk with their treasurer and get the whole mess straightened out.
