Updated Me

Look carefully at my picture. Notice anything?

I shaved off my beard this morning. Eric didn't notice. Amanda didn't notice. So I went for a bike ride to visit archangelbeth and her spouse. They didn't notice. Or at least no one has said anything. Maybe they're just being nice. I don't like it either but I shave it all off every couple of years to see what's under the fur. Too much face is the answer same as last time. Definitely time to shed some weight. I don't look good with jowls.

(Skipping past the text to post my guess)

No beard! Your cheeks are bare.

Give the man a cigar!
It took ten hours for any of my kids to say anything. Amanda said she noticed something!
Yes, bare cheeks - and chin. I'd forgotten how temperature sensitive a freshly shaved chin is.

I noticed the picture! Because it's little and you pointed it out.

My eyes are bad. *sniffle*

I'm glad that you made it over! I'm sorry we weren't better hosts.

Totally Off Topic

I am in the process of unpacking/reorganizing "schtuff". Today, I went through my "Treasure Box". Toward the bottom, there was a letter dated September 2, 1994, containing my personalized "Unofficial-Official Callahan's Fireplace Patch" (#21 in a series).

Thanks for making me smile at irregular intervals over the past eleven years.

:-)

P.S. The loving-care is obvious, and the "New England Craftsman" was and is definitely much more than "semi-skilled".

Ah, those halcyon days of youth! Been a long time since I was Patchmaker. My eyes don't do fine focus too well anymore and I went crosseyed last time I tried to make a patch, so I've given it up.
My own patch, or the tattered remains thereof, is on my favorite jacket - an old army jacket from Goodwill.
1994. In those days, it was possible to know every Callahaner pretty well. Part of the reason I gave up reading alt.callahans was that I just couldn't remember who all of these people were anymore.
