Early Christmas

Today is early Christmas with some ex-in-laws. Trish, the kids and I are meeting Trish's sire and step-mom for lunch and presents at Chili's (r). We used to do this here at home, but when Trish left, her dad thought it would be uncomfortable for us - or perhaps for him. Silly man. We're all okay. But hey, we get a nice meal out together and that doesn't happen very often, so why bitch?

I've got most of my Christman shopping done. Just some stocking stuffers and a present for Trish. On the one hand, I like to get her something nice for her and her partner. Last year I got them a nice table lamp with pictures of wolves on the glass panes. This year, I wanted to get them a painting, but the ones I liked and could afford had all been bought before I got back to the store with the money. Also, Trish has no money for presents and I don't want to embarass her by getting anything too expensive.

Any quick and easy ideas for what to get a middle-aged lesbian couple who run a wolf sanctuary and are involved in Native American culture? Frankly, I'm stumped.

For people you just can't guess about, I've always resorted to the gift of cash. Put as much cash as you intended to spend on them into one of those little money cards, and tell them Merry Christmas.

Hmmmm. Google around for a Native American-run knick-knack store and get them a wolf with some kind of authenticity certificate?

Gift certificates for bookstores always make me happy.

(Sorry I haven't been posting here much. Keep meaning to, and then something (or someONE) distracts me and even clicking a little link is Too Much Work. O:< )
