A Mostly Good Monday

prophet_marcusWork went well for most of the day, although I fell behind at the end because I had to learn about ordering the bread. My boss is taking a week off this month and so folks have to cover in his absence. I got the bread ordering because it's fairly simple and I've done it before, though not in this dining hall.
Anyway, I recently decided to change my car insurance company from Geico to Progressive. For the same coverage, I'm saving almost $400 per year. Naturally, Geico tried to talk me out of changing, but the best they could offer me was a savings of $100 by taking my daughter off of my policy since she no longer lives with me.
Alas, not good enough. They bid me a fond farewell with hopes of taking my money again in the future. The best part, though, is that I expected to still owe them a little bit of money since my latest payment was due last week. Instead, I have a refund coming - eventually. Very cool.
Finally, it's been trying to snow here today, but despite the flakes that fell bravely, the air was too warm and I think we've actually lost snow coverage overall.
