Take the long way home

About half way home today, I suddenly realized that I was in fact heading for home instead of the gym. Fine, I'm not far off course, just missed a turn about half a mile back. So I turn down a side street to go around a block and turn around. The I see my son standing at a bus stop. So I stop and pick him up. I drive him home and continue on my way to the gym, now a couple of miles away. I get there, open my bag and find I don't have my sneakers. I'm not going to work out either in my work boot or shoeless. So I packed up and came home. I'll try again Monday. It's Friday, I'm ready to relax.
