Gritching and moaning
Apr. 10th, 2005 06:40 amOkay, so I didn't expect yesterday to be a wonderful day. I knew I had to go into work for a couple of hours, but no reason that should ruin my entire Saturday.
Waking up to a furnace gone cold, however, spoiled the optimism. At least the weather has warmed up enough that no heat isn't going to kill us. It also allowed me to set an appointment on Monday when it won't cost as much as a weekend call would. We can tough it out. Heck, here it is, Sunday morning and it's a pleasant 65 F in the living room.
The timing still could have been better. But at least I have money set aside for fixing the furnace. Actually, it was supposed to go to fixing the hot water tank, but a temporary fix there and waiting a few more weeks won't hurt. Still, it's a lousy way to spend a Saturday.
