Entertaining
Aug. 28th, 2005 07:04 amThat's what they used to call it when you have company over for the evening, wasn't it? So last night, I entertained archangelbeth and her husband and daughter. At least, I certainly hope they were entertained. I really enjoy spending time with them. Wonderful, warm and interesting people.
So I plied them with stir-fry and we discussed anime and computer games and the vagaries of corporate America. Iolanthe played some Mario Brothers on Alexander's GameBoy (tm) and tried to play with the dog. Duke is a nice, friendly pup (10+ years, but only on the calendar), but his affection can be overwhelming. And he outweighs Iolanthe by 10 pounds. Their interactions required close supervision.
That was pretty much it. No tremendous, activity filled event. Just a quiet evening of food and conversation. That happens to be my ideal. So I, at least, was entertained.
