   Ah, the Place itself and the many stories and games we've shared here. A place of fellowship, learning and many, many horrid puns. More shaggy dogs than a sheepdog convention.

   It's always a challenge to create not just a world and a society but the very laws of nature which rule them. When an author does it well, well, it's magic.

   I love spooky. Not the hard, harsh celebration of pain and misery, but the etherial awareness of something just a whisper away from the world we can see.

   It's amazing the countless different ways humans have found to imagine their own origins and the powers behind it all. It's also amazing how many similarities these different people's explanations show.

   I want to know the real answers behind the world that I see. It's all a huge fascinating puzzle and panorama.
7. science fiction:
   Between science and fantasy lies science fiction. With the added bonus of being able to hope some of the better parts will come true.
