Well, I got a letter from Eric today. Someone want to explain to me why soldiers need to be exposed to riot gas? I mean, nerve gas I understand, but are terrorists or other armies using riot fas in combat these days? Eric places it among the most unpleasant experiences of his life. Compared to that, hiking with full kit in the rain was mild.
And by the way, what is CQ duty? All he said was that it entails sitting in a chair.

In other news, the kitchen at work filled up with fumes this afternoon and we had to evacuate - five minutes before I was supposed to clock out. Luckily, the building next door still has a timeclock since that's where our catering operations are centered. So I was only a little late leaving.

And Amanda seems to have gotten into a minor accident. She stopped for a pedestrian and the guy behind her didn't. No real damage, not her fault, plenty of witnesses - and the Dover Police Department seems not to want people to file accident reports unless absolutely necessary. So she's waiting to see if her car sustained hidden damage or if the pain in her neck is just tension or whiplash.

Argh. And for some reason I kept thinking this is friday. The jolt that kept hitting me when I remembered that it's thursday was painful.
