Aug. 25th, 2007 06:58 amhas suddenly remembered that it's still summer, so after a week of relatively cool weather, it's gone back to hot and muggy. We're expecting temperatures in the 90's with high humidity today. Whee!
In other news, Alex is suddenly more serious about learning guitar. There's lots of complaints about "my fingers don't bend that way" and I tell him "they will." There's complaints about "the strings are cutting into my fingers, and I assure him his fingers will toughen up. Yes, it will hurt, but it's like physical therapy. Something good will come of the pain.
And the first song he is going to learn to play is Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" because it's fairly easy (only four chords and those basic ones) and he has a girlfriend. Tell me, just for statistical purposes, is there any woman out there who would not like her guy to sing that song to her? I haven't found one yet.
