For The Record
May. 9th, 2008 04:13 pmI hate cars. I hate driving them. I hate riding in them. In a pefect world, I would live within walking distance of work and a decent grocery store. Everything else would be a short bus ride away on a route that runs regularly, often and on weekends.
In other words - car trouble. I get to spend monday having my ignition cylinder replaced so that my car will turn off. Yes, turn off. It starts fine, it runs well, and then, when I try to turn it off, it refuses to go to sleep. To the point where I have to physically disconnect the battery to make sure everything turns off. Fortunately, this doesn't seem to be an outrageously expensive fix. Except for the missing work part. I just hope the weather isn't too bad this weekend, because I can't drive Eric to or from his job. It's only about two miles, but at night, in the rain ... hope his hip has gotten much better.
