Change of address

Fairpoint communications bought verizon and today is the day of changeover. My email will now go to @myfairpoint.net instead of @verizon.net
Stuff sent to the old address will be redirected for a few months, but I figure I need to change my contact information for all of the businesses and groups that need it - my insurance companies and so forth as well as friends and family.
Naturally, there are ... bobbles. For instance, when I changed my address for LiveJournal, they sent a confirmation email to my old address. The confirmation link in that email DOES NOT WORK!
No biggie I suppose. I never get email from them anyway. Just ... annoying. I hate incompetence.
