Aug. 16th, 2009 07:18 amOne last hurdle for Alex before he's ready to begin the new semester. He has to turn in a signed copy of his financial aid letter so that they know he's all paid for or else they erase his registration. This must be done by noon tomorrow. He filed all of his paperwork and was supposed to get that letter two or three weeks ago.
It came yesterday.
His school (which shall remain nameless but is one of the ones in Stratham, NH.) did something similar to Eric except in his case involved a financial aid officer leaving the school and his paperwork never did get straightened out. Thus his (brief) sojourn in the US Army.
Despite this sort of thing, Alex does like the school. He has some good teachers, likes his classes and (believe it or not) has an adviser he thinks is cool. And I suppose these sort of FUBAR situations are some of the most realistic training for the real world he'll get in college.
Thank god Amanda is done in December and Eric's online school seems less prone to these glitches.
