I've Done It Now

I just booked tickets for my trip to Washington in August. Now I'm committed. Or maybe I mean I should be committed. I've never flown before. Good reason for that is that the thought terrifies me - fear of heights and all that. Still, since I hope to travel to Japan some day, better to find out how I handle it on a short trip first, n'est-ce pas?
