Another Pleasant Valley Sunday

Okay, not a lot of status symbols here in my home. But it looks like a pretty nice day here. Sunny and mild. A bit warm for December. Better than yesterday's miserable, chilling rain. Kind of hard to be all Christmasy in that sort of damp, penetrating chill. Still, I got out, spent some time in a couple of stores, gawking at doodads and smelling the seasonal aromas. As annoying as I find the holiday season, and shopping in general, I actually like that part. Something from my childhood I guess. So I finished my Christmas shopping and started on the Christmas cards.

Christmas, Christmas, Christmas. Take that Richard Dawkins you putz. I'm agnostic leaning atheist but I say Christmas. Face it, it more of a cultural holiday than a religious one anyway. I don't hear as much noise about Halloween and it's got religious origins too. I just wish everyone would shut up, get over themselves and enjoy a time that in any case has enough emotional stress without the political/religious/culture war overtones.

I need music.
And now Pandora won't load. Guess I have to go to stuff on my own playlist.
