Muggy Monday
Jul. 8th, 2013 06:18 amIt's still cool outside, but in a few hours I expect it to be quite steamy. Just in time for me to go in to work. Unless it clouds up and rains. Not sure how I feel about that. Depends on how far away from Holloway I have to park.
First meeting, dinner at Applebee's, went very well. Chatted easily for a couple of hours. We're planning on going to Hampton next weekend. A good start to... whatever.
I guess growing up in Texas in the 60's was very different from growing up in New Hampshire. Here, segregation and de-segregation were things in the news. There, it meant her getting dragged out of public school and sent to a Catholic school.
Fifty years to catch up on, plus hopes and plans and bucket lists to compare. Could be a fun ride.
