Surprise Party

Yesterday, my sweetheart Lynette and I met my son and his (perennial) fiancee for dinner. The putative occasion was my son's upcoming 27th birthday. The youngsters, however, stole my thunder by announcing their impending parenthood.

I'm gonna be a grandpa.

Also, the garlic and rosemary chicken at Olive Garden is delicious.

Serendipitously, I had found an A.A. Milne box set of Winnie The Pooh books at the local used book store and decided it would make a good birthday gift for my son. That worked out well.
