The Persistence of Memory

Yesterday, while waiting for a bus, I saw a woman walking a dog which looked so much like Duke I could hardly stand it. I had to check for details to make sure I wasn't seeing a ghost. The muzzle was sharper and the left ear didn't flop like Duke's, so no haunting - except by my memories.
Meanwhile, I have friends who are celebrating their 25th anniversary next weekend and since I can't get down to Virginia, I was thinking of writing and recording some sort of song for them. Now to see if my memory is persistent enough for me to recall how to write a song. It's been a while.
