prophet_marcusWell my vacation is winding down. A day earlier than expected. I've been staying and spending time with Nicole, but today I spend some time with her ex-husband Scott who is also an old friend. However, his father died yesterday morning so he, and the kids, and Nicole are all traveling up to New Hampshire for the funeral. Nicole is going mostly to be supportive of her ex-mother-in-law because they grew very close over the 25 years of the marriage.
Anyway, folks are driving up on Monday, so rather than spend my last day and night at Nicole's sister's place, I'm riding up with Nicole and her son. Not that I don't love Celeste or find her husband and little children engaging, but this way I don't have to fly. I have issues with driving, but still prefer it to flying, at least when I'm not behind the wheel.
So it's been a wonderful trip. I had the adventure of flying for the first time (I don't get along with security procedures. I just don't.) I got to play tourist. One day was plenty to last me for years. I spent hours and hours reconnecting with Nicole. I got to meet some friends of hers who are fun people. All in all, I have had a great time so far.
