Counting Down

Five weeks from today, I will awaken as a single man for the first time in 19 years. It was never my intention to be single again, but hey, there it is.
I admit that while I am the one who decided to go all the way to divorce, I do feel a bit nervous about it all. Nervous? Scared. Slightly, but it's a whole new life I'm facing and I'm not sure I'm ready. But then, the old life has been gone for almost two years. This limbo I've been floating in is getting old. It wasn't what I wanted, but it's what I've got and I've go tto make the most of it.
So what's the single scene like these days for middle aged men? I hear it's scary out there.
