Sleeping In

Yes, I am an early riser. Not much of a morning person, it's just that my body insists on getting up by six AM. As you get older, your body has ways of enforcing such whims. I think most of you know what I mean.

Still, it's quiet and peaceful at this time of the morning. And tomorrow is my last day of work for 2010. Then vacation. I picked up a book on yoga at the library yesterday. Gotta figure out some warm-ups and stretches so I can continue my thrice-weekly workouts. Usually, a full day of work provides all of the warming up and stretching out I need. No work, no freebie warm-ups. Also, no work related stress means I have to work harder to get my pulse up to cardio levels.

I bought my train ticket for my trip to Virginia yesterday. It cost a bit more than I was expecting, but not too bad. I'll be doing a bit of shuffling on some bills so that the important ones get paid on time and lesser ones not too late, but it's worth the trouble. Soon I'll be greeting you from the wrong side of the Mason-Dixon line.

'cause we are chillin' down here. Glad you're going by train, though -- that's always been my preferred travel method. Quick but not frenzied. So far the security rules aren't as oppressive as the ones for air travel but they're already talking about changing that. Hope you have a fun trip.

Thanks. I flew down last summer and survived, but hated flying. This way I leave in the morning, relax on a comfortable train, arrive in the afternoon and probably hang out for a bit until a friend picks me up. And I never have to look DOWN at the clouds.
