The Morning After
Dec. 20th, 2005 07:51 amWell, I survived my surgery and I'm told everything went well. Meanwhile, I feel like I'm one large bruise from my navel to my testicles. Not bad pain, but deep soreness. I'm moving very slowly and deliberately, but I'm moving.
Oddly, I never quite got around to feeling nervous or scared. I expected to get jittery at some point, but I never really did. Surprising since Trish spent Sunday and Monday asking "How are you doing?" and saying "It's going to be fine" in that way which is almost guaranteed to make someone anxious. I think she was far more worried than I was. Despite her reassuring horror stories about her surgeries.
