I just adore spending hours on the phone interfacing with automated receptionists. Honest, I do! I'm also heir to the throne of Saint Peter and a galaxy famous rock-star.
Okay, it wasn't even hours, really. Conversations with insurance companies, contractors and a credit card company mean that my roof will be repaired even if paying for it is going to be ... tricky. My insurance deductible is slightly over half of the total repair estimate. Oh, it will be paid, but it will be painful.
But it has to be done. My new neighbor is moving in over the next few weeks. Yes, after two years, more or less, someone has finally bought the north half of the house. He seems a decent guy, and best of all, he's a contractor and building inspector. So very convenient.
