The Morning After

Well, she told us there had to be one...
If only I could remember which lady sang it.
Ah, well, digging out this morning. Eventually. I'm on vacation - no need to hurry.
A funny thing about the class I'm taking. While I've never taken an Extension class before, I have been in the building where the class is being held. It used to be a roller-skating rink, back in the seventies when I was a teen. I used to go there with a church group. Not my church, mind you. Youth activities in my parish were restricted to Boy Scouts, Altar boys and the folk group (and you thought we had nothing for girls.)
This is the fun thing about living in one area for forty-odd years. You get to see buildings recycled. Like the gym my son tried to get a job at. Before that it was a bookstore, previously a different bookstore, previously abandoned for years, previously Service Merchandise (department store) who bought it from Value House (another department store), and way back in my toddler years a grocery store. Just one example of dozens, but I worked at Value House/Service Merchandise back in high school.
