Impending Surgery

Well, my hernia surgery is scheduled for December 19th. So far, we are expecting a laporoscopic procedure which will leave tiny scars far north of the actual area of damage. Go figure. I now know things about my own anatomy I really had no need or desire to know. Definitely TMI. Unlike my medically aware ex-wife, I'm generally the "trust-the-doctor-ask-no-questions" type. Foolish, perhaps, but I've got so little experience with doctors I wouldn't know where to start. This is why it's good I'm still friends with Trish.

So I spend two or three weeks of my Christman break recovering. It beats spending a similar time recovering while *not* on paid vacation.

Yeah, my tiny little scars just won't cut it in the competition.

All I want for Christmas is a winning Lotto ticket. I'm not greedy, 10 or 12 million payoff will do. Well, that, world peace and a sudden attack of cluefullness from Washington. Hey, Christmas is supposed to be a time for miracles.

How about you folks? More peanut evils and baklava? Or maybe vanilla surprise?

I've had TWO hernia operations, neither of them a laporoscopy. The worst two things about the recovery, was it being impossible (as in very painful) to laugh, and due to bruising having the skin covering the entire scrotum dry up, and peel off. Can you say Itches like the Bitches ten times fast??
