prophet_marcusEric called last night. It seems they will get occasional phone priviledges. He says basic is going well and is not as hard as he'd expected. He also says his DI's are tough, but not mean. I guess that's okay. It was good to hear from him. His voice already sounds older and more mature. Amazing what a couple of weeks can do.
He also mentioned that the first couple of letters he'd gotten had a slight mistake on the address. When Alex wrote it down, he heard Roswell when Eric said Rothwell. No biggie, the postal clerks or whatever figured it out and we'd already noted the correction from his last letter home. Which reminds me, there are still a couple of people I need to get his address to.
(I don't know, for a guy as much into reading about UFO's and incidentally has been nicknamed Alien by his buddies, Roswell seemed appropriate.)
