I'd count it an interesting day at work.

I spent most of an hour stuffing portobello mushrooms this morning. Got pretty good at it. I don't get drafted for food prep very often and at least this time I didn't have to use any potentially self-mutilating utensils.
Later, I had the opportunity to observe that a maggot's mode of locomotion is incredibly inefficient. Okay, it was getting late in the day by then and keeping the mind from freezing up gets hard. Besides, I was outside on a beautiful summer day - I can share a day like that with a maggot if it doesn't get too chummy.
And my good and virtuous deed for the day came when I made a suggestion to one of our housekeepers for how to get a gummed up cleaning head off of a cleaning machine and then neither laughing nor leering when she described how she got soaked because she didn't realize how much pressure there was in the hose.
Maybe reading Thoreau is good for me. I'll have to get my own copy of Walden.
